3 coffee places you want to try..

Lifestyle

Hello everyone!

If you enjoy drinking coffee like I do, then these are 3 great coffee places to try when in Sydney.

The first place is Alpha Espresso Bar in Epping who use Pablo and Rusty coffee beans, in my eyes this place is a hidden gem. It is situated right across Epping Station with seatings and they also serve a selection of breakfast food.

The second place is Celsius Coffee in Kirribilli, about a 12 minute walk from Milsons Point Station. The cafe is located in a fairly quiet neighbourhood and the water views is an added bonus. They serve a great breakfast menu. Don’t mind me, just trying to be hipster here 😉

The debut of the delicious food pictured below in order are Billy’s Eggs with a side of Chorizo and the Super Greens Breakfast!

Good coffee at Flower Child Cafe in Chatswood which has an inspired take of the Grounds off Alexandria. There tend to be a line so if you don’t want to wait too long, best to come early as you can as it can quite busy by lunchtime.

Hope you enjoyed this little edition, have an awesome week! 🙂

The Royal Botanic Gardens, Sydney

Travel

Hello Everyone!

The Royal Botanic Gardens is the perfect little escape away from the city for a few hours even though it is situated close to the CBD area. You will notice some buildings and skyscrapers around in the background but good thing it is full of ponds, plants and flowers to give that feeling of being amongst the enchantment, particularly in the Calyx area where the installation of walls are full of plants and flowers. Stunning! I don’t know all the plants name taken in the images below, so if you do, please do tell us! 😉

It’s a great place for a picnic, to read a book, chill out with that special someone and friends or hey even just spend some me time. Here are some images I snapped, hope you enjoy these images and have a lovely week! 🙂

Don’t forget to look up, you might almost get pooped on by a beautiful bird 😉 Mr B. in the photo.

Photo credit below by Mr B.Those colours.. Lets just take a moment..My dream would be to have this plant of walls at home..  And no exploring is without a pitstop after for some breakfast and coffee. Oh yessssss!!! I’m really excited inside to eat this Skakshuka even if I don’t really look it, and the coffee was … spot on!

Balmoral Beach, Sydney, Australia

Lifestyle

img_2496img_2498img_2472img_2462img_2497img_2499Sydney has the best kind of blue. And its only Spring.

Balmoral Beach has a very nice and relaxing vibe, quite family oriented, than some other famous beaches such as Bondi or Manly. Here are some images I snapped show casing Sydney in its natural prime. Of course, no exploration is without finding a good breakfast and coffee point, and thats exactly what I did. You can make friends with salad with these tasty roast pumpkin and fennel with cos, labne and seeds was so delicious. With a side order of good coffee at Boathouse Cafe as seen in image 3!  😉

Love the blue stripes and the cosy laid back feel the cafe has with vases of blooms overlooking the water. Balmoral Beach is definitely worth a visit especially if you’re wanting a much more ‘chilled out’ place.

Hope you enjoyed this edition lovelies and have a great week.

Take the journey to enjoy the view… Just get out and do it. You will be very, very glad that you did. Mrs Macquarie Chair and Bangaroo are 2 great locations to sit and relax and wait for the perfect setting to take photos of the iconic landmarks, being the Sydney Harbour Bridge and the Sydney Opera House. Ideally, you can pack yourself a mini picnic and chill as you set out to explore or better yet, people watching 😉 Here are some images I snapped and with summer coming on board now, I sure will be spending more time at these  hotspots as I try to capture more sunset photos with the beautiful iconic landmarks as splendid backdrops.

Happy snapping! Enjoy your week lovelies.

Adventure Is Out There

Travel

What started as a fun hobby turned into a journey of adventures, finding a purpose and my passion…

About 3 years ago, I decided to take the plunge and risk it all, packing some belongings in a suitcase, sold my car and went abroad to live in NYC and London. No solid plan. But I was searching, looking and yearning for something.

I enjoyed what both cities had to offer as they are filled with lots of culture and diversity and theres always something to do. Though, there were some challenging periods such as finding work, friendship and myself. Travelling and venturing out to explore different boroughs, cafes, parks, meeting people and capturing these moments and places took a different turn in how things would eventually unfold. Being creative and sharing it with people allowed the opportunity to express myself in a positive form.

And thats how forthecurious started.

Here is a video I put together as a small gratitude for getting me through, all your likes, comments and positiveness has helped me in so many ways, THANK YOU! You guys are amazinggg!!

If you ever have the idea to start a blog, then please please please DO IT!! You don’t need to be an expert. You just need the passion. I never owned a camera at first and was using the camera phone to capture images. Creating visuals makes me so happy. I have no idea what will happen next… but I’m excited.

Hope you enjoyed this edition and your week lovelies x

Harry’s Bondi – 2/136 Wairoa Avenue, Bondi Beach NSW 2026

Breakfast is my favourite meal of the day so its no surprise I am always on the prowl for good coffee and breakfast places. Here are some eateries I highly recommend to satisfy your tastebuds!

What better way to start the day then with a healthy, tasty and refreshing Acai bowl which has strawberries, blueberries, bananas, chia seeds, almonds and shredded coconut from Flower Child Cafe at Chatswood. Goodness galore!

The green bowl is from Calabur Cafe and Diner at Bondi Junction consists of kale and spinach smoothie bowl topped with fresh strawberries, blueberries, dried coconut, passionfruit, banana, chia seeds and mint. Enough said.

The next place is Sadhana kitchen a vegan place in Enmore and this is the Winter Bondi meal which is filled with miso-roasted pumpkin, quinoa, macadamia feta, shaved carrot and beetroots mixed with greens, oh, and that finger lickin spicy sesame dressing.

You can never go wrong at Bread and Circus in Alexandria. It is one of my favourite places anywhere in the world for breakfast and coffee served on pretty pink platters has eggs and you have the option of either fresh chilli or real truffle oil. I opted for the truffle oil 😉 under shaved parmesan with avocado, tomato, baby spinach, fresh herbs and sourdough. You are welcome.

Harry’s Bondi serve their breakfast like a work of art as seen with this unforgettable quinoa and feta fritters, fattoush, avocado, labna and hazelnut dukka. And two thumbs up for the coffee.

Try not to skip breakfast, its an essential meal of the day and there are many different healthy options out there. Hope you guys enjoyed this edition and do share your experiences. Have a great week lovelies x

Manly and Shelly Beach

Travel

IMG_7197IMG_7199IMG_7196IMG_7198IMG_7112IMG_7194

Shirt and short tan lines and its been about 3 weeks now and I still have that sandal tan lines…It’s almost like I have a whole outfit on 😉

It was scorching hot weather this weather reaching over 30 degrees which calls for another day spent at the beach. Also, I don’t live anywhere near a beach so any excuse to go to one is always a good idea. This time, I explored Manly and Shelly Beach both in Manly and only about a 10 minute walk from each other. Manly itself is a great area to explore, one  way of getting there is by catching a ferry from Circular Quay and takes approximately 30 minutes which is how I did it. You go past the Opera House and Sydney Harbour Bridge. Manly beach is popular amongst locals and tourists and Shelly beach is somewhat more excluded than Manly. Here are some images I took yesterday; the first 4 images are of Manly beach and the last 2 images are of Shelly beach.

To cap off, it has been an amazing 2015 filled with so much adventures, meeting lots of people, and moving back to Sydney for Summer from London. This will be my last post for the year whilst I take a short break and will be back in the New Year… with other adventures abroad.

Thank you for all your inspiration, comments, likes… it makes me so happy you will never know. Have a safe New Year my lovelies!

I now have sandal tan… and I’m not entirely sure how to get rid of it. All thanks to Sydney summer vibes spent at Bondi Beach in perfect 27 degree weather.

One way of getting to the beach is by catching a train to Bondi Junction Station and then bus 333 which will take you right there!

Bondi Beach is a popular beach attraction amongst locals and tourists with Bondi Iceberg for those who prefer to swim in a pool. Don’t forget to slip, slop, slap with sunscreen and a hat and always swim between the flags which are the safest areas.

Here are some images I snapped over the weekend with that blue sky. Now, if you have any idea of how to get rid of two stripes across your feet, do tell. 😉

I hope you enjoyed this and have a great week my lovelies.

G’day mate

After living abroad as an expat for a few years in NYC and London, I am currently back home in Sydney for Summer. Severely jetlagged as it took 48 hours of travel from the United Kingdom to Sydney with a 5 hour layover in Jakarta.

I’ve learnt you actually don’t need alot to live and came back with 21.8kgs and a backpack after 3 years away from home! On the third day after arriving I explored the beautiful city and finally got to try food and coffee at The Grounds in Alexandria.

Here are some images I snapped in order; the first image is the Sydney Harbour Bridge, a steel arch bridge across Sydney Harbour is an iconic image. Shaped like the sails of the boat and holding many events, image two is another iconic building. The next three images are from The Grounds of Alexandria, a place I highly recommend for food and coffee, there tends to be a queue but it’s worth the wait. Image three and four are some exterior of The Grounds and the last image is me with my knight in shining armour, coffee and brioche – oh yes, I’ll have it anywhere, anytime. 😉

Hope you enjoyed this piece and enjoy your week.

Summer Lovin’

Style

image (16)

Only 83 days, 254 hours, 116 minutes and 100501 seconds (ok, I made up these numbers) until Summer Lovin’ is here!

Can I get a Yahoo! This means short tees and shorter shorts. And yes, London is notorious for their ‘lack’ of Summer Lovin’ (compared to Sydney) but what I learnt last year was this ‘lack’ of Summer Lovin’ was made up for with the best Summer vibes on the streets 🙂

Don’t forget to slip slop slap and wear a hat.

P.S I’ll be sure to do another Summer style countdown!
